Laser Skin Resurfacing

One solution for multiple skin issues!

Skin Resurfacing offers impressive results- diminished wrinkles, lines and scars, hyperpigmentation and other skin irregularities. You will notice an overall improvement in skin texture and tone. This procedure precisely removes the top layers of aged, damaged and blotchy skin to produce smooth, vibrant and younger looking skin. Laser Skin Resurfacing is used to commonly correct:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes and mouth
  • Blotchy and uneven skin tone from sun damage
  • Spider veins around the nostril or cheek areas
  • Acne scars, large pores or other unusual skin irregularities

Laser Skin Resurfacing is a relatively quick procedure lasting from only a few minutes to thirty minutes depending on the depth and area dimension treated. A series of treatments may be required to produce the best results. A numbing solution is applied directly to the skin prior to treatment, and the eye areas are protected with safety glasses during the procedure.

As the laser is passed over the skin, a very brief pulse of energy light bore microscopic columns in the skin. These columns trigger and accelerates collagen production as the surround skin. This targets zones deep within rather than treating the entire face. As the production of new collagen is stimulated, lines and wrinkles begin to fill. Wrinkled areas soften and become less noticeable. Superficial pigmented spots fade and skin irregularities greatly improve. Progress in one’s appearance will continue to occur over 6 months.

The skin will be hyper sensitive to the sun at this time, sun avoidance is crucial to proper healing. However, if going outside is necessary, wearing a big hat with sun block with a minimum 30 SPF is strongly recommended. The skin will properly heal itself over a period of several weeks. Recovery time depends upon treatment depth and will independently vary among individuals as everyone is different.
